1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication token. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive only the identifiers those services provide (name and email).

Baby & event data. You may log feedings, diapers, sleep, baths, playtime, and other baby-related events. If you use an account, this data is stored in our cloud database so it can sync across devices and be shared with your partner.

Wellness data. If you choose to complete an EPDS (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale) screening, we store your responses and scores tied to your account.

Local-only data. Free-tier users without an account can use Dudela entirely on-device. In this mode, no personal data is sent to our servers.

Analytics. We collect anonymized, aggregated usage analytics (e.g., screen views, feature usage counts) that cannot be used to identify individual users.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Dudela app
• To sync your data across devices and share it with invited partners
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account verification)
• To analyze aggregated usage trends and improve the product

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Cloud data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore & Firebase Auth) and is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

4. Third-Party Services

Dudela integrates with the following services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and cloud database
• Google Play / Apple App Store — subscription billing and payment processing
• Google / Apple Sign-In — optional third-party authentication

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Sharing

Your baby and event data is shared only with partners you explicitly invite through the app's sharing feature. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties except as required by law.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & export: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data. See our Account Deletion page for details.
• Opt out of analytics: Contact us to opt out of anonymized analytics collection.

7. Children's Privacy

Dudela is intended for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The baby data entered into Dudela is provided by the parent/caregiver and is under their control.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the app or sending an email. Your continued use of Dudela after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
